Banana Date Milkshake Breakfast Recipe

This banana date milkshake recipe is simple and easy to make.

It is filling and ideal to serve as healthy breakfast food, a healthy snack or a cold beverage for a hot summer.

It is a helpful food recipe for those who suffer from acidity.

It takes very little time(just about 5 minutes) to make. You need not give the 'no time' excuse for missing breakfast.

Soaking dates can be done the day before too. You may use dates without soaking too, only it will take a bit longer to blend.

How to make banana date milkshake

Ingredients for 3-4 servings

  • Milk – 2 cups

  • Dates (seeds removed) - 10

  • Ripe Bananas - 2

  • Honey or sugar (optional) – 1 tsp

  • Ice cubes (optional) – 6-8 or as required

  • Making banana date milkshake

  • Heat 1/2 cup milk and pour over dates. Cover and keep aside for about 30 minutes. The dates will become soft.

  • In your blender, add the dates soaked in milk along with 1 cup milk. Blend.

  • Add bananas, remaining milk and blend till smooth.

  • See the taste and Add honey or sugar if necessary.

  • Add ice cubes if adding or you cool the milkshake in the fridge for 15-20 minutes.

  • Pour into glasses and serve.

  • Tips for banana date milkshake

  • If you have no time to soak the dates, use them without soaking. Soaking dates helps in blending fast. You may soak the dates in milk the night before and leave them in the fridge.

  • Remember that dates and ripe bananas are sweet. So you may not need to add any sweetener at all. Add sugar or honey only blending after tasting.

  • If serving at room temperature, serve immediately.

  • If serving cool, keep in the fridge only for 15 -20 minutes. Or you may add ice cubes while blending.
