Healthy eating habit for better digestion

Follow one healthy eating habit till you get used to it and then start another to improve your digestive health. You will also find that your general health condition becomes better with these proper eating habits.

Proper eating habits for good digestive health


  • Start and end your day with a warm glass of water.
  • Have your meal in a relaxed manner.
  • Have your meal in a pleasant place.
  • Eat only when you are hungry
  • Eat at regular times whenever possible.
  • Do not overeat.
  • Eat smaller portions if you are overweight.
  • Start your day with a healthy nutritious breakfast.
  • Eat healthy snacks such as fruits or raw vegetables in between meals. Do not eat fried foods or junk foods as snack in between meals.
  • Healthy habits while eating:

  • Eat mindfully.
  • Eat slowly. Do not eat in hurry.
  • Do not wash your food down with a drink.
  • Chew your food well.
  • Eat only till you are satisfied. Stop when you feel satisfied.
  • Do not eat till you start feeling full. It takes about 20 minutes to feel full.
  • Drinking Liquid with Meals?

  • Do not drink water/other drinks with your meals.
  • Drink water 30-60 minutes before a meal. Similarly, drink water only after an hour after a meal. Digestive juices get diluted when you drink.
  • You may take a couple of sips of warm or hot drink if necessary.
  • Do not drink cold drinks with your meal.
