How to make banana date milkshake
Ingredients for 3-4 servingsMilk – 2 cupsDates (seeds removed) - 10Ripe Bananas - 2 Honey or sugar (optional) – 1 tspIce cubes (optional) – 6-8 or as required
Making banana date milkshakeHeat 1/2 cup milk and pour over dates. Cover and keep aside for about 30 minutes. The dates will become soft. In your blender, add the dates soaked in milk along with 1 cup milk. Blend. Add bananas, remaining milk and blend till smooth. See the taste and Add honey or sugar if necessary. Add ice cubes if adding or you cool the milkshake in the fridge for 15-20 minutes. Pour into glasses and serve.
Tips for banana date milkshakeIf you have no time to soak the dates, use them without soaking. Soaking dates helps in blending fast. You may soak the dates in milk the night before and leave them in the fridge. Remember that dates and ripe bananas are sweet. So you may not need to add any sweetener at all. Add sugar or honey only blending after tasting. If serving at room temperature, serve immediately. If serving cool, keep in the fridge only for 15 -20 minutes. Or you may add ice cubes while blending.
